Eligibility Criteria for Karnataka Postal LDCE 2025

Eligibility is based on service and pay level as of 01 January 2025.

Category A:

  • Level 3: 3 years regular service or
  • Level 2: 5 years regular service including Level 1
  • Level 1: 5 years regular service

Category B:

  • Level 1/2/3 officials with 8 years total regular service including GDS period
  • If GDS service is before 17-06-2022: 5 years total service is sufficient

Note:
Category B candidates will be considered only if sufficient Category A candidates are unavailable.

Karnataka Postal LDCE 2025 Selection Process

The LDCE will include:

  • Paper-I: Objective-type questions based on Postal Guides, Departmental Rules, and General Awareness
  • Paper-II: Local language writing (essay and letter) and translation (removed in 2024 amendment)
  • Data Entry Skill Test (DEST): Conducted separately on the same day
  • Merit-cum-preference will be used for cadre and division/unit allotment.
